17th Shock Trooper Battalion Communication Plan


COMPANY LEVEL COMMUNICATIONS

Company Level Communications (CLCs) pertain to any communications between Company Staff, Combat Team Staff, 83rd JTACs, 83rd Air Control, and OPCOM Staff

  1. CLCs will happen over LRR channel 50 exclusively.
  2. Due to the importance of communications over this net, strict radio procedure must be adhered to.

TEAM LEVEL COMMUNICATIONS

Team Level Communications (TLCs) pertain to any communications between Combat Team Staff and Combat Element Leaders

  1. TLCs will happen over LRR channel 80.x exclusively. X being the number of the CT in question (I.E. CT3 would use LRR Channel 80.3)
  2. Due to the importance of communications over this net, strict radio procedure must be adhered to.

ELEMENT LEVEL COMMUNICATIONS

Element Level Communications (ELCs) pertain to any communications between and Element's leader and their Element members. This also applies to Company and Team staffs for their local SRR channels.

  1. ELCs will happen over SRR channel XYZ. X being the Company numerical designation the element belongs to (I.E. CE 1-1 would use a 1 for their first digit as they are in the first company of the 17th). Y being the numerical designation of the CT the Element in question belongs to (I.E. CE 2-2 would use a 2 for their second digit as they are in the second Combat Team). Z being the numerical designation of the Element in question (I.E. CE 1-2 would use a 2 for their 3rd digit as they are the 2nd Element in CT1).
  2. This channel acts as the element in question's intercom, a more casual radio procedure may be allowed on these channels. However, any communications from the current "Actual" or a call for "Clear Comms" should be listened to.

FIRETEAM LEVEL COMMUNICATIONS

Fireteam Level Communications (FLCs) pertain to any communications between Fireteams when an Element decides to split up and cover more ground

  1. FLCs will happen over SRR Channel X.Y. X being the Element in questions already existing ELC channel. Y being the numerical designation of the Fireteam in question.
  2. This channel acts as the Fireteam in question's intercom, a more casual radio procedure may be allowed on these channels. However, any communications from the current Fireteam Leader or a call for "Clear Comms" should be listened to.
